At Youville Place, our goal is to build community through programs and activities that promote socialization, intellectual development, spiritual growth, and fitness. Together, staff and residents create a calendar of scheduled events.
Our programs incorporate the richness of the local cultural community with visits from school children, concerts by talented university students and professional performers, as well as dinner parties, guest lecturers and artists.
Some residents remain active in community work, preparing and serving meals to the homeless at a nearby lunch program. They also enjoy the shops, restaurants, museums, and theatres in the greater Boston area. Always responding to the wishes and interests of the residents, Youville Place staff plans programs that offer opportunities to continue to learn and grow, and more importantly, enjoy their leisure time.
We recently introduced “Get Fit, Stay Sharp, Age Well,” a concept designed to help residents and their families make the connection between available activities and opportunities and their benefits.
As we age, it remains critically important to stay as fit as possible on every level. Whether a resident has an interest in doing crosswords, or participating as a volunteer, our programs are designed to support residents in staying fit physically, cognitively, spiritually and nutritionally.
